Julie Souza Bradley Lilly : Secure in His Hands
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
~Psalm 139:16 NIV
All the days ordained for us were written in God’s book, including today.

God saw this season we are in. And knowing our every day, from first to last, Scripture declares we have a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). God’s plans cannot be stopped. And no disease, discord, or calamity will prevent His plan from being fulfilled. He will complete the work He began in us until the return of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).
The enemy knows his time is short, however. He wants us to swallow the bait of fear, hoping to paralyze our actions, distract us from our mission, and get us off course.
Are you afraid? Let us not allow the foolishness of people to silence the wisdom of God. The enemy is a formidable opponent, but he is no match for our God. The enemy is afraid of us because he cannot stand against the Word of God. He shudders at the Body of Christ, uniting in the power of the Word and prayer.

Father God, You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind. I submit to You. I turn my eyes away from what frightens me, and I look to my Savior Jesus Christ. I have been called for such a time as this. Spirit of God, rise within me. Embolden me. Knit my heart together with fellow believers, that united and shoulder to shoulder, we can stand firm against the powers of darkness.
Lord Jesus Christ, You are my peace and hope in uncertain times. May I not spend a single moment cowering in fear, but rather, ready myself for Your return. May I spend today wisely, and honor You in it. I rest in the knowledge that my days are secure in Your hands. Amen.
