I heard your heartache, precious friend,

and how you fear this pain won’t end.

I felt your desperation deep

in my tender soul where secrets keep.

Answers elude me, but I will pray

to the Answer Giver to send your way

the hope you need to stand upon

and stubborn strength to just hold on.

Hold on to truth when lies scream loud

and hover like a dark storm cloud.

Hold on to faith when you cannot see

how it will hold true in your troubled sea.

.

Hold on to prayer when you feel closed up

for it’s the only way He’ll fill your cup.

Hold on to hands of supportive friends

who can help you see through a clearer lens.

.

Hold on to moments of Sabbath rest

to gain greater grace to ace this test.

Hold on to Jesus, whatever you do,

and remember, friend, that He holds you, too.
