Ed Chappelle: Man on the Moon
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon, and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?
~Psalm 8:3 NKJV
We look up at you for thousands of years, as we admired the beauty that shines from you.
We thanked you for your light that helped us see as darkness crept in, and took over the path we walked on.

We have written songs about you, written stories about you, and yes, even poems, and yet this never seem to be enough of a tribute to the beauty God has created when He made you.
As we looked upon you we found you to be mysterious which drew us even more. We desired to be with you.
We feel in love, as our hearts craved not only to see you, but also touch your surface, therefore on July 16, 1969 we left our home in order to visit you, who shines light into our darkness.
We reached our destination on July 20th 1969, and for the first time in the history of mankind, we touched you. Though your surface was dusty and cold, the beauty that we glimpsed in the night sky of you from back home didn’t compare to the incredible beauty we beheld the moment we first stepped upon your surface.
We had finally reached out, conquering the fear of impossibilities, and touched the one we had admired since we first laid our eyes upon you.
