Glenda Shouse: Unfathomable
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unfathomable (inscrutable, unsearchable) are His judgments (His decisions)! And how untraceable(mysterious, undiscoverable) are His ways (His methods, His paths)!
~Romans 11:33 AMP
God is unfathomable! He is beyond our understanding. We are not able to completely understand or comprehend Who He is.
He is limitless. There are no limits to Him or to what He can achieve. He has no boundaries. He is endless and exceedingly great. He exists outside of time and space.
God is infinite. In contrast, our minds are finite. Oh yes, He allows us to have a very small glimpse of Who He is. For instance, Moses asked to see God’s glory, but he could not see God’s complete form and live.
We try our best to put God in a neat little box. We try to bring Him down to our level of understanding. But He is so much more….
The fact remains, we can know God, but never completely. In 1 Corinthians we read,
Now I know in part (imperfectly), but then I shall know and understand fully and clearly even in the same manner as I have been fully and clearly known and understood (byGod).
~1 Corinthians 13:12b AMP
Hallelujah! God can be known, and one day we will know Him fully.
Our unfathomable, limitless, infinite Father loves us with an endless love that is richer than we are capable of understanding or experiencing. He has a plan for our lives that is revealed, little by little, over time. Father God loves you. Open your heart and receive His love every day.
Have you ever tried to put God in a box?
Thank You Father God, for the awesome love You pour into me, even though I don’t understand Your completeness. Fill me with the knowledge that I can trust You step by step.
In Your Son Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
