Fill My Heart
GIFTS FROM ABOVE
Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things.
~Psalm 103:4-5a NIV
Sunshine and bird songs on a spring morning, the rush of the waves to the shore and the smell of the ocean breeze, and a baby’s smile are things that fill my heart.
I receive these as gifts from God. Different things may touch your heart because He created each of us to be unique, one of a kind. He loves us so much that He only wanted one person like us. He created us male or female and decides who we will be.
For You created my inmost being You knit me together in my mother’s womb; I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
-Psalm 139:13-14 NIV
GOD-SIZED HOLE
Unfortunately, today, many decide they want to be someone other than who God created them. What a sad thing when we believe we are smarter than the Almighty, all-knowing God.
One thing is the same for all of us, though. We have a God-size hole in our hearts that only God can fill. Sadly, not all will believe this. God is the only one who makes us complete.
Leaving God out is like having a missing piece of a puzzle. We can attempt to fill the hole with other things, but only God can satisfy the desires of our hearts. He makes His love, grace, peace, and mercy available to all who believe and receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
TODAY, CHOOSE JESUS CHRIST AND HIS LORDSHIP
Have you received Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord? Today is a good day to do so. Follow His ways, and make Him your Lord. It will be the best decision you’ve ever made.
Are you allowing God to fill your heart with all that He has for you?
Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God and that You died on the cross, were buried, rose from the grave, ascended into heaven, and are seated at the right hand of God. I ask You to forgive me of my sins and be my Savior and Lord. I surrender to You and pray that You would make me the person you created me to be. Amen.
