I teach apologetics at South Florida Bible College and Theological Seminary, and it is one of my favorite classes. What is apologetics? It means having a reasoned defense for what and why you believe in any particular religious doctrine. There are several methods used to teach apologetics; Presuppositional Method, Reformed Epistemology Method, Cumulative Case Method, Evidential Method, and Classical Method. I urge you to research these methods on your own and find out which is best for you to learn how to defend your faith to help bring others to Christ. I use a combination of all these methods to show others the love of Jesus; biblical truth, scientific laws, general revelation, miracles, human reasoning, judicial reasoning, and factual findings.
With all the evidence, no one is without excuse, “For since the creation of the word God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse” Romans 1:20a NIV.
For since the creation of the word God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
~Romans 1:20a NIV.
With all the evidence, without given in love, believers come across as clanging symbols to the ears of the unbeliever, “If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal” 1 Corinthians 13:1 NIV.

~1 Corinthians 13:1a NIV.
There are many Christians who are judgmental, and instead of offering love, offer condemnation. How can you bring someone to the truth of the love and sacrifice of Christ if you are condemning them in His name? Taylor Swift’s new song, “Calm Down,” has a good point. Some Christians need to calm down. God commanded Christians to love one another as Christ loves. The reason we defend our faith is not that we want to be right and prove others wrong, pointing accusatory fingers at people. Rather, everything we do reflects Christ, who lives within us, and our actions should be for God’s glory and the gospel message.

The best apologists that walked the earth was Jesus Christ, “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” John 3:17 NKJV. Why are we not doing the same? All sin is sin. Everyone who accepts the Lord Jesus and as their Savior will be saved. I don’t remember reading any exceptions: You shall be saved except if you are an alcoholic, a drug addict, a killer, or a homosexual.Everything we do reflects Christ, who lives within us, and our actions should be for God’s glory and the gospel message. #VineWords #LeeAnnMancini #Apologetics Click To Tweet
Theodore Roosevelt stated, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” May we show how much we care by defending our faith in love, reaching out to the lost, building bridges that will help to establish a way for a loving dialogue to bring all sinners to salvation. Let us be the Christians who love in the name of Jesus!
As a living epistle, what are three ways you can show those around you how much you care?
Heavenly Father, help me to be a conduit of Christ’s love and a witness of the Gospel of grace. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen
